postcards to the future
send a message to the future
A warning. A wish. A question. What would you send the future? Ursula Le Guin spoke to the present by imagining the future. We invite you to do the same. Imagine a future: apocalyptic, utopian, or just full of squishy, blobby tentacles. Any possible future will do. Write a poetic message to that future and drop it in our Future Postal Service mailboxes on the Woodstock Square or inside the Woodstock Public Library. While we can’t guarantee delivery or insure against glitches in the space-time continuum, we may share your postcard to the future on social media or at one of our One City, One Poet events. Can’t make it to Woodstock? Tag us on social media @atrocious_poets or email atrociouspoets@gmail.com.
